Arts and Culture minister, Black Coffee, speak out over Sibusiso Khwinana's murder

South Africa is still reeling from the untimely and tragic murder of Matwetwe lead actor Sibusiso Khwinana over the weekend.

Police spokesperson Captain Mavela Masondo said yesterday morning that they were yet to make an arrest. Officers are still taking statements from people who were in the area when Khwinana was stabbed to death in Arcadia, Pretoria, around 23:00 on Friday night, allegedly over a cell phone.

Arts and Culture Minister, Nathi Mthwethwa has expressed his shock and sadness at the passing of one of South Africa’s rising stars.

DJ, Black Coffee, has also expressed his horror at the murder and has brought attention once again to the frustrating crime situation in South Africa. Black Coffee was one of the co-producers for Matwetwe.

The leading role in the movie Matwetwe, seemed to be the role that was going to take 25-year-old Khwinana places. May you rest in peace Sibusiso.
