The exit of Nick Jonas as a judge from The Voice series will see him replaced by Ariana Grande when Season 21 swings into action. The 27-year-old singer will join regular judges Blake Shelton, John Legend, and Kelly Clarkson.
Grande tweeted: “surprise !!! I am beyond thrilled, honored, excited to be joining @kellyclarkson @johnlegend @blakeshelton next season ~ season 21 of @nbcthevoice ! @nickjonas we will miss you (sic)”
She also stated that she was “honored and excited to join ”The Voice” family! I have been a huge fan of the show for such a long time.”
“I can’t wait to go head-to-head with the incredible coaches, get to know these new artists, and help to take their craft to the next level.”
Grande will no doubt be a huge audience puller for the show, since 2019 she has retained her status as the most-followed female on Instagram with over 228 million followers.
