Ariana Grande has got into the Halloween spirit with a surprise of her own: the early release of her new song "Focus".
The pop singer led a countdown for the new single, which became a trending topic on Twitter when it dropped an hour ahead of schedule. "Surprise !!!! it's here!!!!," she informed her millions of Twitter followers overnight.
The video, directed by Hannah Lux Davis, who helmed Grande's videos for "Bang Bang" (with Jessie J and Nicki Minaj) and "Love Me Harder" (with The Weeknd), followed soon after. Watch it below.
Grande teased the sassy, horn-heavy tune earlier this week when she shared a snippet of its official video. She’s also gone with a striking new platinum hairstyle for its cover-art.
Produced by Max Martin, and written by Grande and Savan Kotecha, "Focus" is the first single off her forthcoming album, due in 2016. And its available to purchase at iTunes.
Grande will celebrate Halloween and the release of her new single at the Ariana Grande World Premiere Event On The Honda Stage at the iHeartRadio Theater LA. Her performance will be streamed live worldwide on iHeartRadio.com/HondaStage and will mark the live debut of “Focus.”
