In the wake of the news that Virgin Active withdrew its case against a man who was caught on camera allegedly masturbating in one of its gyms, media personality, Anele Mdoda has cancelled her membership with the franchise.
In May, a video of a young man went viral after he appeared to be fondling his genitals in full view of other gym members. It was suspected by many that he was masturbating after having been aroused by a female gym member who was working out at the time.
There was a huge outcry from members of the Virgin Active gym in Stellenbosch where the incident happened, as well as from social media users who demanded that the gym chain take action.
However,Virgin Active withdrew the charges, saying the man needed psychological help.
Mdoda took to Twitter to announce the cancellation of her membership.
