After 40 years ABBA is back! With a new album and 'spectacular concert'

Abba in their heyday

Fans of the Swedish pop group will be excited to hear that the ‘Dancing Queens’ are back in business with a new album and the "most spectacular concert you could ever dream of".

The album, Voyage, to be released Nov. 5, is a follow-up to Abba’s 1981’s The Visitors, The concert is a virtual/digital version of the band and will begin a series of ‘performances’ in London next year.

The group has been creating the holographic live show with George Lucas’ special-effects company, Industrial Light & Magic.

They describe it as a concert “40 years in the making. A concert that combines the old and new, the young and not-so-young. A concert that has brought all four of us together again.”

“ABBA Voyage is the long-awaited concert from one of the biggest pop acts of all time. See ABBA's avatars accompanied by a 10-piece live band, in a custom-built arena at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, London.”

Using their social media platforms they have thanked fans for waiting saying ” Thank you for waiting - it’s time for a new journey to begin”. They also invited fans to “listen to two brand new songs now and pre-order ‘Voyage’ from the official store for first access to tickets.” The band is also now on TikTok!
