Swedish pop group ABBA stated Wednesday that they are putting the brakes on the promotion of an upcoming show for 24 hours after two people tragically died at a tribute concert in the Swedish capital Stockholm.
The world-famous group, making one of the biggest comebacks in the history of music, will now release theirr new album titled Voyage tomorrow Friday 5 November, some 40 years after splitting up.
However, as has been widely reported, on Tuesday night, an 80-year-old man fell seven storeys to his death at a concert hall in Uppsala in what appears to be an accident, killing another attendee.
According to CNN, the man, in his 80s, fell and landed on a man and woman, both in their 60s, on the ground floor of the Uppsala Konsert and Kongress about half an hour before the show was to begin.
The police told the media that both men died and the woman is in hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The venue in the capital Stockholm was to host a tribute show for an audience of around 1,000 called Thank you for the music.
ABBA said on Twitter: "In the light of the tragic news at the tribute concert in Sweden last night, we have decided to hold off on releasing our concert trailer until tomorrow".
