Yesterday the sad news broke that the 52-year-old star of Beverley Hill’s 90210 and Netflix’s Riverdale had passed away.
Last week Wednesday paramedics in LA responded to a dispatch call that took them to Luke's home where he was found to have suffered a massive stroke, he was transported to a nearby hospital. Luke who plays Archie's dad, Fred Andrews, on"Riverdale" had been shooting episodes recently on the Warner Bros lot.
According to a statement from Luke’s rep, he was surrounded by his family when he passed. The statement read as follows :
“He was surrounded by his children Jack and Sophie, fiancé Wendy Madison Bauer, ex-wife Minnie Sharp, mother Ann Bennett, stepfather Steve Bennett, brother Tom Perry, sister Amy Coder, and other close family and friends. The family appreciates the outpouring of support and prayers that have been extended to Luke from around the world and respectfully requests privacy in this time of great mourning. No further details will be released at this time.”
Both Luke’s Riverdale costars and his former fellow actors from Beverly Hills 90210 have taken to social media to express their shock and dismay at his untimely passing. May you rest in peace Luke Perry.
