The much-loved South African soapie star finds himself back in ICU following quadruple heart surgery and further surgery for a lung infection on the 1st of September.
Acclaimed for playing the role of Chris Welman on the long-running soapie, Rees was discharged from hospital after suffering a heart attack on August 6.
On 26 August, the family excitedly announced that David was finally home after undergoing the life-saving operations.
The post went on to ask for financial support as the actor does not have medical aid, a fact they said “intensifies an already daunting journey. No donation is too big or too small; each gesture of kindness means the world.”
The family is now appealing to the public for their continued support with this turn of events writing on Rees' Facebook page: “Continued Support Urgently Needed as David Rees Bravely Battles On in ICU
