President Jacob Zuma will lead South Africa's delegation to the sixty-seventh sitting of the United Nations General Assembly.
The department of international relations says Zuma is scheduled to address the General Assembly on Tuesday afternoon, the first day of debate.
Department spokesperson, Clayson Monyela says South Africa strongly supports the reform of the UN, specifically the security council.
He says the South African government is also supporting Palestine's coming request for enhanced status as an UN observer state, and participating in meetings on the margins of the General Assembly.
Monyela says Zuma will be accompanied by International Relations Minister, Maite Nkoana-Mashabane.
