President Jacob Zuma's son, Edward has had his car and furniture attached for unpaid debt.
The Sunday Times reports that the sheriff in Durban seized his BMW X5 on Friday, and removed sofas, a fridge, entertainment system, camp chairs and bar stools from his house.
According to the newspaper, Zuma's lawyer, Siphiwe Mncango, negotiated with the sheriff for the assets to be returned. He told the weekly that arrangements had been finalised to pay a R1.5 million bill to a wedding co-ordinating company.
A truck later returned the goods.
Edward Zuma married Phumelele Shange in October last year.
Their reception for 500 guests was held at the Tala Game Reserve near Camperdown.
