JOHANNESBURG, April 24 (ANA) – President Jacob Zuma on Monday extended his “heartfelt condolences” on the passing of late football legend Jeff Butler.
Butler passed away on Saturday, following a long illness
The former Kaizer Chief coach guided the football club to numerous victories including the JPS Knockout Cup, the National Soccer League championship and the BP Top Eight Cup, between 1 988 and 1996.
“This is yet another huge loss to the sporting fraternity in a short space of time. We are with his family in thoughts and prayers during this trying period. May his soul rest in peace,” Zuma said in a statement released by the Presidency.
