President Jacob Zuma has declared a special official funeral for the late former Chief Justice Pius Langa, who passed away on Wednesday.

Presidential spokesperson, Mac Maharaj says Langa was driven by a thirst for equality and justice for all, educating himself through correspondence with Unisa and finally rising through the ranks to become one of the country's legal minds.

He says the National Flag will fly at half mast from Monday until his funeral on Saturday.
