President Jacob Zuma appointed Justice Dumisani Hamilton Zondi and Justice Jody Kollapen as acting judges in the Constitutional Court, the Presidency said on Tuesday.
“President Jacob Zuma has in terms of section 175 (1) of the of the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, 1996, appointed Justice Dumisani Hamilton Zondi, a Judge of the Supreme Court of Appeal, and Justice Jody Kollapen, a Judge of the Gauteng Division of the High Court as Acting Judges of the Constitutional Court for the period 07 July – 30 December 2017.”
The Presidency said that Justice Zondi will be in an acting position for Deputy Chief Justice Ray Zondo, and Justice Kollapen will act in the place of Justice Bess Nkabinde who will be on leave.
