Zuma announces new cabinet


President Jacob Zuma has appointed 20 men and 15 women to cabinet posts for his second term of office.

He appointed Cyril Ramaphosa  as his deputy president while moving some minister out of their portfolios while several ministers do not return.

Several new departments were created while he combined others.
 
Zuma established a ministry of telecommunications and postal services, while also combining  the Justice and Correctional Services.

He also merged the National Planning Commission and the Ministry of Performance Monitoring and Evaluation.

Former Finance Minister, Pravin Gordhan, has been moved to Cooperative  Governance and Traditional Affairs.

Former Eastern Cape Economic Development MEC, Mcebisi Jonas,  is the country’s new Deputy Minister of Finance.  He will be working under Nhlanhla Nene.

Forme Police Commissioner, Bheki Cele, is back in government as the Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries.
