The strike by members of the metal workers union in the automotive industry will continue.
Numsa said on Wedsnesday that its members had rejected a revised wage offer by the employer association Ameo.
Spokesperson Karl Cloete, says employers doubled their wage offer last week to 10%, but this had been rejected by members.
He says Numsa's central executive committee will meet today to discuss which areas of the offer need to be revised.
"We would receive report backs from the general meeting at the seven car manufacturing plants across the country. We would then develop what we think should constitute a possible settlement in industry, meaning we would have to engage the employers over the weekend, and see what is possible by Monday." says Cloete
