A mother and five-year-old girl were killed after falling six storeys off a building in Joubert Park in Johannesburg on Saturday.
ER24 said paramedics, along with local authorities, responded to the scene and found the pair lying on the sidewalk.
Spokesperson, Russel Meiring, said on assessment, paramedics found that the mother had already succumbed to her multiple fatal injuries.
He said the child was found to be in a critical condition and later died in hospital.
Meiring said the cause of the incident is not yet known but is now subject to investigation by authorities.
Meanwhile, Meiring says a 46-year-old woman was airlifted off Lions Head Mountain in the Western Cape Saturday afternoon.
He said they called to the parking lot near the Lions Head to meet the patient.
Meiring said it's understood that the woman had sustained moderate injuries while climbing in the mountains.
She was airlifted to hospital for further treament.
