An outing to Lions Head at the Table Mountain National Park had a tragic ending on Wednesday when a 25 year old man fell to his death.
Spokesperson for the Park Merle Collins says he was hiking with his fiance and their 5 year old son.
The victim was standing on the edge of the footpath when the rock gave way.
His body was airlifted to lower ground where he was declared dead.
His fiance was taken for trauma counselling
