Western Cape police said a 35-year-old woman would appear in court on Monday on charges of dealing in drugs.
This, after police, seized Tik and mandrax tablets near the Oudtshoorn taxi rank last week.
Police spokesperson, Captain Malcolm Pojie, said members were busy with a stop and search operation when they spotted a woman fiddling suspiciously with a large suitcase, trying to hide it from the police.
“They immediately deployed a drug detection dog who responded positively on the big suitcase. Upon searching the case, members found 9000 Mandrax tablets as well as 2kg’s of Tik inside the suitcase,” he said.
