A 40-year-old woman is in a critical condition after being kicked in the head by the horse she had been riding at an equestrian centre in Midrand on Thursday. A spokesperson for ER24 Ross Cambel says when paramedics arrived at the scene they found the woman on the ground surrounded by her family.
He says advanced life support interventions were used to stabilise the patient before a medical helicopter transported her to a hospital. He says she was thrown off the horse before she was kicked.
