A South African woman arrested for trying to smuggle liquid cocaine into the country is expected to appear in court on Tuesday for a formal bail application.
The 36-year-old Yangaphi Ntombizanele was arrested at the King Shaka International Airport in July as she arrived on an Emirates flight from Dubai.
Saps acted on intelligence received and searched her luggage.
Ntombizanele had liquid cocaine in her bags with a street value of R4 million.
The cocaine was concealed in name brand shampoo bottles.
She was arrested on the spot and charged in the Verulam Magistrates Court with dealing and being in possession of drugs.
The accused is still in custody and is expected to apply for bail.
