Police in the Northern Cape have arrested the wife of a hotel owner from Pofadder who was found dead in the swimming pool of one of his properties in October last year.
The 41-year-old Leon Brits had been stabbed several times.
Police Spokesperson Sergeant Sergio Kock says his wife is the fourth suspect to be arrested and she too will be charged with murder, aggravated robbery and perjury.
The wife, who cannot be named until she appears in court, was arrested on Monday morning at her house in Kakamas.
Just weeks after the murder police arrested three suspects.
The 37-year-old Jaques van Vuuren entered into a plea agreement with the State and was sentenced to an effective 20-years in prison.
His two co-accused, 34-year-old Enrich Williams and 24-year-old Amantle Bareki will be back in court on the 17th of May.
At the time of the murder, it was the victim's wife who discovered his body.
She also told police that several valuables such as firearms, a cell phone, Kruger Rands, polished diamonds and cash were allegedly taken from the premises.
She will make her first appearance on Wednesday.
