Western Cape police are searching for two suspects in connection with a hijacking that happened in Milnerton in Cape Town and ended on the N2 along the Garden Route on Friday morning.
According to police the armed men had assaulted a male driver and tied him up in the back of the vehicle before driving in the direction of George.
Police said the victim was able to free himself before he apparently pulled on the car's steering wheel causing it to overturn on the N2 in the Hoogekraal area.
The hijackers managed to get away but the hijacking victim is being treated in George hospital.
Police described the suspects as "aggressive" adding that one of them has a scar on his left cheek.
Anyone who may have information on their whereabouts should contact the nearest police station.
