A truck driver has died in a fiery crash between two trucks on the Van Reenens Pass in Kwazulu Natal.
Netcare 911 said that the horror accident occurred early Saturday morning.
Spokesperson, Chris Botha, said that “emergency services arrived at the scene and found both trucks to be engulfed in flames”.
“Bystanders managed to pull the one truck driver from the burning wreckage with critical injuries, tragically another person died in the horrific crash,” he said.
He said that Netcare 911 paramedics stabilised the critically injured man at the scene before they transported him to a Ladysmith hospital for the care that he required.
The exact cause of the accident is under investigation.
