Two people died a fiery death when the driver lost control of the vehicle and hit a lamp pole and rolled.
ER-24 spokesperson, Chitra Bodasing, said the horror accident occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning in Northmead, Benoni.
"It is understood the vehicle lost control, hit a lamp pole, rolled and exploded," she said.
Bodasing said when ER24 paramedics arrived on scene they found the vehicle engulfed in flames. "Fire and Rescue Services extinguished the fire."
"Unfortunately there was nothing paramedics could do for the people in the vehicle. They were declared dead," she said.
Meanwhile, a pregnant woman ws killed after being hti by a truck on the N-1 highway in Bloemfontein on Saturday
Her name has not yet been released.
The woman was reportedly a flag marshall for one of the local construction companies doing road maintainence in the area.
