Police are investigating the deaths of two people who were found shot to death on a beach in Hartenbos near Mossel Bay.
Police spokesperson, captain Bernadine Steyn says the bodies of 21 year old Magriet Seekooi from Douglas and 65 year old Fritz Claasen from Albertinia on Wednesday.
They were both shot in the chest.
A 9mm pistol was found on the scene.
Steyn says the firearm will be sent for ballistic tests to determine whether the inquest investigation will be changed.
She says the circumstances surrounding the double shooting are still unclear.
