Two Brazilian nationals are due to appear in court this week after being arrested at OR Tambo International Airport for being in possession of cocaine.

Lieutenant-Colonel Amanda van Wyk said the arrests were made on Sunday shortly after the pair arrived from a flight from São Paulo.

She said one of the alleged traffickers was found with four kilograms of cocaine, while an s-ray confirmed the presence of drug "bullets" swallowed by the other drug mule.

Van Wyk said 15 "bullets" containing cocaine have been released.

The two who are aged 30 and 35, will appear in the Kempton Park Magistrates' Court on charges related to drug trafficking.
