Western Cape police say efforts to eradicate the illegal trafficking and selling of drugs in the province have led to the arrest of two suspects.
Spokesperson, Capt. Malcolm Pojie says a 41-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman were arrested in Prins Albert following a tip-off.
He says 1005 Mandrax tablets were found hidden in their garden.
Poijie says it was concealed in a plastic bag and buried in the garden.
The drugs had a street value of more than R46-thousand.
Pojie says the suspects were on Tuesday granted bail of R500 each, and the matter was postponed for further investigation.
