Gauteng police have arrested a man and a woman for the brutal murder of two young boys in Soweto.
Police spokesperson, Lieutenant-Colonel Mavela Masondo, said the arrests were made by members of a special task team set up to probe the deaths of Tshiamo Rabanye and Mduduzi Zulu.
He said the team arrested a 50-year-old woman and her 39-year-old partner.
Masondo said they were initially brought in for questioning but have since been charged with the murder of the boys, whose mutilated bodies were found in White River and Rockville last Thursday.
The two will appear in the Protea Magistrates Court on Friday.
