KwaZulu-Natal police have recovered 25 firearms, including R5 rifles, from the scene of Wednesday's shooting at a taxi rank in the Durban city centre.
Three people were killed and several others injured when a gang of men opened fire on them yesterday morning.
Police have already arrested 11 suspects.
Meanwhile, police are following some leads in another shooting at the KwaMashu Hostel, north of Durban later the same day, in which five people were killed.
Three of the victims died at the scene, while a fourth succumbed to his gunshot wounds while being treated.
Another man's body was found a short while later outside the hostel.
