A 33-year-old man will appear in a North West court on Monday for a triple family murder that shocked the Shaleng Village near Taung.
Police spokesperson, Colonel Adele Myburgh, said the suspect was arrested on Saturday for the brutal murder of his 74-year-old father, Mosimanegape Kale, his 68-year-old mother, Phodisho, and sister, Bonolo, aged 27.
She said he allegedly attacked them with a knobkierie in their place on Friday night, before fleeing.
Myburgh said paramedics were called and declared the three dead at the scene.
She said the suspect was arrested with the assistance of community members and will appear in the Kgomotso Periodical Court on three charges of murder.
