Well-known South African broadcaster and political commentator, Eusebius McKaiser, has died, reportedly after suffering an epileptic seizure.
He died at the age of 45 at his home on Tuesday, with his passing confirmed by his agent, Jackie Strydom.
McKaiser was born in Makhanda and after completing his schooling at Graeme College, graduated later from Rhodes University with a degree in law and philosophy, an honours degree, and, a master's degree in philosophy in 2003.
He authored several books and hosted his first radio show on Radio 702, before stints at other radio stations in Gauteng.
Radio 702 said in a Tweet that it was deeply saddened to hear of Mckaiser's passing.
"Our thoughts and condolences go out to his loved ones during this difficult time," the broadcaster said.
