Gauteng police are investigating the death of three siblings from Evaton Primary School in Sebokeng.
Spokesperson for the Department of Education in Gauteng Steve Mabona says on Monday morning a Grade 4 teacher brought a learner to the sick bay for medical assistance as he was unresponsive.
He says the child's mother and emergency services were called to the school when his sister, in Grade 3 was also brought in.
She informed the teacher that they ate pap, milk and biscuits at home before going to school.
Mabone says in a distressing turn of events their oldest sibling in Grade 5 was also rushed to the sick bay.
All three children were declared dead upon arrival at hospital.
Circumstances surrounding their deaths are under police investigation.
The names and ages of the children have not yet been released.
