Three killed in suspected taxi-related hit in Gauteng

Gauteng police are investigating a case of murder after three men were shot dead in Soweto on Monday morning.

Colonel Noxolo Kweza said police were alerted to the shooting that occurred on the corner of Zulu Drive and Nape Avenue in Mofolo in Soweto at around 8 am.

“It is alleged that shots were fired from a grey silver vehicle at the other vehicle, a Toyota corolla, killing three men.

“The incident is believed to be taxi related. The victims all belong to a taxi association.

“All possibilities will be investigated,” Kweza said.

He said police were urging anyone with information that could assist the investigation to contact Crime Stop on 08600 10111.
