Three killed in light aircraft crash in Benoni

Three people were killed, after their light aircraft crashed in a park in Benoni on the East Rand on Wednesday morning.

ER24's Russel Meiring says paramedics, along with various emergency services, arrived at the scene to find the burned wreckage of the aircraft lying on its roof.

He says paramedics found the bodies of three people inside the aircraft. 

The cause of the accident is not yet known, but local authorities are investigating.
