Three killed in Free State truck accident

Free State police are investigating a case of culpable homicide following an accident that claimed three lives on the N1 between Winburg and Verkeerdevlei on Sunday morning.

Police spokesperson, Stephen Thakeng, says two trucks were traveling in opposite directions when they collided head-on.

He says both truck drivers were declared dead at the scene.

A third deceased was found after the bodies were extracted from the wreckage.
