Thai national arrested over rhino horn trade

 The Hawks have arrested a Thai national at Emperors Palace casino in Johannesburg on charges related to illicit rhino horn trading.

The SA Revenue Service says this followed an intensive, international investigation.

Sars spokesperson, Adrian Lackay, says the Thai national is believed to be the fourth suspect in a broad syndicate in the export of rhino horns out of the country.

He is expected to appear in court on Wednesday.
