A teenager is expected to appear in the Ntuzuma Magistrate’s Court in Kwazulu Natal on Thursday in connection with the brutal murder of a 4-year-old girl who was a member of his family.
Sanelisiwe Mhlongo's mother left her in the care of a family member last week while she went off to work.
When the mother returned she was informed that her child had gone missing.
Police launched a search and found Mhlongo's body a day later on the 24th of September.
Her body was dumped in the bushes and she had sustained several stab wounds and a head injury.
Detectives made a breakthrough on Wednesday and arrested a 15-year-old family member.
