Police fired teargas and rubber bullets to disperse defiant members of the Economic Freedom Fighters at the Gauteng legislature in Johannesburg on Tuesday night.
Stun grenades were also thrown inside the foyer of the legislature where EFF leader Julius Malema and others had refused to move.
This followed a march by Malema and his EFF members to protest the ejection of party members from the Gauteng legislature over their refusal to change out of their red overalls during a recent sitting of the House.
It was reported last night that police also fired rubber bullets to disperse EFF members outside the building.
