A 40-year-old female teacher was shot dead on Tuesday at Ntsako village outside Tzaneen, while her boyfriend was later found dead at his house.
Limpopo police said lvone Mushwana was with her boyfriend at a local scrap yard when a witness heard gunshots.
Spokesperson, Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe said the witness reported finding Mushwana lying on the ground while her boyfriend, who was a local businessman, fled the scene.
"Within few hours of hunting, the boyfriend Khashane Willy Malatji, aged 45, was found dead in his house at Nkowankowa outside Tzaneen with a gunshot wound. The firearm was lying next to his body," Ngoepe said.
The motive for the fatal shooting and suspected suicide remain unknown.
