There was drama and confusion at the Boksburg Magistrate's Court on Tuesday where the suspects arrested for the murder of Bafana Bafana goalkeeper, Senzo Meyiwa, refused to enter the dock.

They also pronounced their innocence, with some saying they didn't know why they were in court.

Some of the accused also declared that they were not arrested on Monday as claimed by the Police Minister, Bheki Cele and that some of them are already serving time in prison.

After an adjournment, the matter was postponed to the 27th of November.

Muzikawulahlelwa S’tembu Sibiya, Bongani Sandiso Ntanzi, Mthobisi Prince Mncube, Mthokozisi Ziphozonke Maphisa and Sifisokuhle Nkani Ntuli Sifiso are accused of murder, robbery with aggravating circumstances and illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition.

Meanwhile, a document with instructions to the Investigating Officer was accidentally provided to journalists who were asked to delete it from their social media accounts as it could put lives in danger.

The document refers to Meyiwa's ex-girlfriend Kelly Khumalo who is being investigated by police.

All accused are remanded in custody.
