A man accused of stabbing South African polo star Sibusiso Duma to death will appear in the Howick Magistrate's Court on Monday.
The 24-year-old man was reportedly arrested in Howick on Saturday during which police recovered a knife, believed to be the murder weapon.
Police said the weapon would be sent for forensic analysis.
Twenty-five-year-old Duma was killed in Lidgetton, Howick, last week.
Duma represented South Africa against Australia in the Kurland International in 2009 in Plettenberg Bay, scoring five goals and receiving the player of the match award.
Duma was the first development polo player in the country to climb through the ranks to international level.
