The Hawks in the Northern Cape have arrested a suspect nearly a month after they seized a massive haul of narcotics worth over R2.7m in Kimberley.
Spokesperson, Nomthandazo Mnisi, said that 31-year-old Chibugo Ezeh was taken into custody on Tuesday after his lawyer presented him to Hawks investigators.
His arrest followed the seizure of a large quantity of Tik and Khat at a house in West End in Kimberley on 18 January.
Mnisi said Ezeh made a brief court appearance on the same day on a charge of dealing in drugs and will be back in court again on Thursday for a bail application.
