Gauteng police arrested a suspect for being in the possession of fraudulent documents, mostly South African identity documents.
Police spokesperson, Lieutenant-Colonel Mavela Masondo, said the 47-year-old Zimbabwean national would appear in court on Tuesday.
"I would like to thank the community members who continue to be the eyes and ears of the police. We still rely on information from the community about the crimes taking place indoors,” he said.
Masondo said police were conducting Operation O Kae Molao in the area when they received a tip-off from a community member about a person producing fraudulent identity documents and passports in a flat.
He said the police raided the Hillbrow flat and seized more than 95 SA ID books, birth certificates, smart identity cards, passports, bank statements, Covid-19 certificates, work permits, SAPS firearm licence competency certificates, SASSA cards, bank cards, and other essential documents.
Masondo said the man was arrested on a charge of fraud.
