The Farlam Commission has confirmed that a suspect has been arrested for the murder of Eastern Cape sangoma, Alton Joja.
Commission spokesperson, Makhosini Nkosi, says the 28-year-old suspect was arrested in Kwazulu Natal.
However, no further details are available as yet.
Joja died in a hail of bullets when several gunmen opened fire on his homestead in Ludeke Halt near Mbizana in March.
Its was widely reported that Joja, who was due to testify at the Farlam Commission of Inquiry, had given mineworkers muti to make them invincible to police bullets.
He is one of several Commission witnesses who have been killed in recent weeks.
