South African doctor Cyril Karabus is still waiting to return to South Africa from the United Arab Emirates.
His lawyer Michael Bagraim says via sms that his client is still waiting at what he termed - the prison.

He was acquitted in March after the UAE lost an appeal and had hoped to return to South Africa, but this has been delayed.
Karabus had expected to come back last week but a database needed to be updated, causing the latest delay.
He had hoped to collect his passport on Sunday.
