ActionSA has paid tribute to its Western Cape chairperson, Vytjie Mentor, who has died after a long illness.
Party leader, Herman Mashaba, said “it should not be forgotten that Mentor was the first to sound the alarm on what today call State Capture.”
He said the long-serving politician had been ill for some time and on Tuesday morning her family informed us that she had succumbed to her illness after being hospitalized for several months.
Mashaba noted that Mentor also served as a Member of Parliament (for the ANC) from 2002 to 2014 before joining ActionSA.
“She was a true patriot who served her country even in the face of criticism,” he said.
