The Secretary of the State Capture Commission would be laying criminal charges against former President, Jacob Zuma.
This, after he and his legal team walked out of the Commission hearing last week when his recusal application was dismissed by Commission Chairperson, Deputy Chief Justice Raymond Zondo.
The former president cited, among other reasons, familial ties and that he would not get a fair hearing.
When proceeding resumed on Monday, Justice Zondo announced that the Secretary of the Commission would be laying a criminal complaint with the police against Zuma.
He said that he would also be summoned to return to the Commission at a future date.
Zondo said that "that any person summoned to attend and to give evidence before the commission is required to do so. Failure to do so that person will be guilty of an offence."
"We are all equal before the law," he added.
