Speaker of parliament, Baleka Mbete has lashed out at critics who argue that she has lost control of the national assembly.
This follows another chaotic sitting of parliament last week during which Mbete ordered the removal of EFF MP, Andile Mngxitama from the house.
Mbete suspended Mxintama for five days after he tabled a motion without notice objecting to the presidency receiving a report on the Marikana massacare.
Mbete argues that all MPs must agree to adopt a motion without notice.
These motions should also not be of a party political nature.
She says Mxitama’s motion did not comply with these rules but he was not suspended for this.
He was suspended for disregarding her authority as the presiding officer.
This, she says, shows that she is decisive and in complete control.
