The Department of International Relations says there are South Africans stuck in Mali after the coup d'état in the West African nation.
Dept spokesperson, Clayson Monyela says nobody can go into Mali, as the airports are closed.
He says this means that there are South African's stuck in Mali, including officials who are attached to the embassy.
Monyela says they do not have a count of how many South Africans could be stranded.
