South Africans freed by Somali pirates on their way home

The two South Africans who were recently freed by Somali pirates after 20 months in captivity, will arrive home on Wednesday.

Deborah Calitz and Bruno Pelizzari will leave Rome on Tuesday and arrive on South African soil Wednesday morning.

Calitz's brother Dale van der Merwe, says they will stay at the Pretoria home of president Jacob Zuma for several days.

They will also hold a media briefing with the Department of International Relations after spending time with their families.

Calitz and Pelizzari were kidnapped on a yacht off the south-eastern coast of Africa by Somali pirates in October 2010.
